I can work with you to create a Power of Attorney that suits your needs. Sometimes you may wish to sign a Power of Attorney to name someone to handle a particular financial matter for you, such as closing on the sale of your home. I can help you draft a Power of Attorney that limits your agent’s ability to act on your behalf.
A Durable Power of Attorney can also be important to your estate planning. This document allows you to appoint an individual (and other alternative individuals) to handle all of your financial affairs in the event you are unable to do so yourself (due, for example, to legal incompetence of incapacity, such as having severe dementia, being in a coma, etc.). I will work with you as part of the estate planning process to draft this document so that you have peace of mind knowing that you have named someone to handle your financial affairs if you’re not in a position to do so yourself.
Don’t worry. If you execute a Power of Attorney, you can change your mind about it later on if your circumstances change. You can amend it to name a new individual to act on your behalf or simply revoke it altogether. I can also help you with this process.
Whatever your issue, I can help.
